Energy Supplements

Fatigue and a lack of energy have been issues for us in our entire life. I've asked doctors and read books to figure out why, but I figured out that I will never answer some questions in my lifetime.

Fortunately, I've learned that even if I can't figure out what's causing my tiredness, there are things I can do to make it go away. The following are some energy boosters that I and others have found to be effective over the years. Experiment with them to see which ones work best for you, and use more than one at a time if necessary.

1. Energizing music

Different types of music have other effects on us, but you can figure out which ones work best for you through trial and error. Keep the piece that wakes you up handy once you've found it.

2. Sleep

It is recommended that we sleep for 6-8 hours per night. Before going to bed, try drinking something warm or relaxing with a simple meditation.

3. Discuss something interesting.

Have you ever seen a tired person "wake up" by starting to talk about something they're passionate about? It's a powerful technique you can employ for yourself. Have a few "favorite" topics to get you started.

4. Coffee

Caffeine can make some of us tired when abused, but in the short term, it can work wonders.

5. Deep inhalation

Several slow, deep breaths improve blood supply oxygenation and appear to wake up the brain.

6. Drink an energy drink

The verdict on most of them is still out, but it's a cheap option to try. I seem to benefit from the ones that contain Ginkgo Biloba.

7. Get your body moving.

Simply getting up and doing the dishes or walking around the house can help boost energy levels.

8. Exercise

Although it is not a quick fix, many people notice an increase in their energy level when they engage in regular aerobic exercise.

9. Alternating hot and cold shower

Try alternating between a minute of hot and a minute of cold water for six minutes. This is not for the faint of heart, but it will wake you up. In addition, studies show that this boosts the immune system.

10. Go outside

A little sunshine and fresh air can often be very energizing.
