A happy brain is a healthy brain!

In this article, I'd like to share with you my three top brain-care tips. When it comes to fitness, one of the organs in the body that we often overlook is the brain. "Have you neglected the grey matter for too long?" ask yourself? If so, these tips will assist you in getting your brain in great shape in a brief period. Don't be too hard on yourself; instead of attempting to implement them all at once, try incorporating them into your schedule over the next few days or even a fortnight.
1. Consume More Water
The brain is made up of 80 percent water, and this water is critical to its function. When dehydrated, we experience a decrease in our sense of well-being and a significant reduction in our performance and learning. We are also putting our long-term mental health at risk. The human body can lose up to 2.5 liters of water per day on average. These losses occur through the lungs, skin (sweat), and urine. We must strive to replenish this loss daily. Drink more water throughout the day and eat more fruits and vegetables, also high in water.
2. Consume the good fats for your brain!
The brain is composed of 60 percent fat, which includes saturated fat and cholesterol. While most of us consider fat unhealthy, there are some fats that our brains require to function normally. Essential fatty acids, or Omega-3 and Omega-6, should account for 20% of brain fat. These two essential fatty acids are necessary because your body cannot produce them, so you must obtain them through your diet. Oily fish are a well-known source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
3. Exercise
Maintain your brain's fitness by keeping your body in shape! Regular exercise has been shown by scientists to significantly reduce the effects of depression, anxiety, and stress. In fact, in many cases, training can be just as effective as antidepressants. Keeping your grey matter happy will keep it healthy as well! You can do this by incorporating a brisk daily walk through the park or enrolling in a dance class!
